  • Beaumaris Courthouse has been only slightly modified since its construction in 1614. The main courtroom has remained much the same as it was in the Stuart period. Until 1971, it was the oldest building in the United Kingdom where Assize Courts were held, and it was used regularly as a Magistrates Court until December 1996. Occasional courts are still held there.
