Carrying hay on a farm in Patagonia
  • A range of water-cooled stationary engines displayed by Coppage & Son at Brecon Show in 1911.  The long leather drive-belts powered a variety of agricultural machines, although the huge exposed fly-wheels and belts must have been very hazardous for the operators.

  • Early farm machinery in use near Brecon around 1912.  This was the first mechanised hay-loader to be sold in the district by Coppage & Son, although it would appear that a fair amount of manual assistance is still required.

  • A new piece of farm machinery, but still using the old sort of horse-power, pictured near Brecon around 1911.  This hay mower was being operated by Mr T. J. Price.

  • An early threshing machine in operation around 1912.  This may have been a demonstration arranged for the Brecon Show, since other belt-driven machines can be seen in the background.
