A collection of 19th-century eisteddfod purses.
It was a custom in local Cardiganshire 'eisteddfodau' to present money prizes in ornamental purses. The purse was worn by the winner for the rest of the 'eisteddfod'. This theme includes a collection of decorated purses from the collection of Ceredigion Museum and a photograph of a young 'eisteddfod' winner with her purses.
