  • Canvas ground embroidered with coloured wools in cross and tent stitch. Border of wavy stem with red flowers and blue leaves.

At top: maker's verse, with date. Remaining field entirely worked in wools. Central motif of house flanked by pairs of motifs of Adam and Eve, the Tree of Knowledge and the serpent, bird, flowering plants, tree and dogs, with flower, tree and bird motifs above.

Inscription:
Anne is my name Davies is my nation Quay is my
Dwelling Place and Christ is my Salvation. When I am
Dead and laid in grave and all my bones are wrotten
In this work you'll find my name when I'll be quite

  • Woollen canvas ground, embroidered with coloured silks in cross stitch. Border of floral wavy stem on three sides. Divided into three compartments by lines of wavy stem.

Top: conventional flowering plant flanked by cornucopiae and crowned female figures symbolic of justice, holding scales in one hand and torch in the other, with religious text. In centre: Adam and Eve, tree and serpent, flying cupids, sun, moon and stars, windmill, flowering tree, animal and bird motifs. Bottom: Flowering plants, conventional trees, dogs and maker's inscription and date within outline.

  • Canvas ground, embroidered with coloured wools and silks in cross stitch. Elaborate floral wavy stem border. Top centre: name of school, flanked by pair of flowering plant motifs and hearts, with floral motif below and bees. In centre: Biblical verse from Proverbs chap. 4, in Welsh, , with pairs of birds, floral motifs and winged angel's heads, with hilly landscape below and maker's inscription and date.

  • Fine linen ground embroidered with coloured silks in cross stitch. Large motif of recumbent stag in centre, outlined in cross stitch and detached cross stitches scattered overall.  Central motif flanked by two flowering trees, with birds ands squirrel, with strip of grass below and detached motifs of birds,stars, butterfly and insect above. At foot, maker's name and date, with band of motifs joined with stylized wavy line, including trees, birds, baskets of fruit, flowering plants and squirrels.

  • Fine ground fabric embroidered with coloured silks in cross stitch. Zigzag border with stylized flowers. Verse in central compartment outlined with floral motifs, with flowering tree motif above, flanked by two woolwork style peacocks in landscapes. Below: woolwork style motif of spaniel on cushion, flanked by floral motifs, crowns and stars with floral wreath below containing maker's name and date.
