  • Superted was an ordinary teddy bear. When he was made, they found something wrong with him, and threw him away like a piece of rubbish, into an old, dark storeroom. Then, from outer space a spottyman brought him to life with his cosmic dust. He took him to a magic cloud, where Mother Nature gave him special powers. That bear became Superted. This Superted toy seems to be an ordinary teddy until his outer costume is unzipped. The hero's costume changed on several occasions during the period of adaptation for television. The issue was finally resolved after the decision was put to the children in the 1982 Superted Annual.
