  • The Cwmdonkin Shelter, Swansea, was run on inter-denominational lines and its object was to provide a temporary shelter for 'Friendless Women and Girls' and to give protection to those in danger.  The Cwmdonkin Shelter was so called as it was originally located at a house in Cwmdonkin Park, but in 1921 the shelter moved to Clifton Hill.
