  • For the early part of the 20th century, Abertillery was one of the largest shopping venues in Monmouthshire. In 1929, this fact was celebrated with the inauguration of an annual shopping week in which windows were dressed and prizes awarded for the best displays. Shopping Week was also accompanied by a carnival and races.

  • These drawers were once used to store the various medicines at the chemist's shop in Llanberis.  They are now on display at the Quarry Hospital.
