The Caergwrle bowl

The Caergwrle bowl This unique Bronze Age shale bowl is modelled in the shape of a boat. It is inlaid with gold foil wrapped around tin insets with decorative features resembling shields, oars and waves. It was buried in a bog, probably for religious reasons.
