Horse and carriage at Talyllyn lake, c. 1907
  • A photograph of the ironmongery business of Thomas J. Evans in Welshpool. Contemporary advertisements for his business offered marble chimney pieces, bedsteads, bicycles, wringers, guns and ammunition, oils, seeds, agricultural implements, galvanised iron buildings, and every description of coachbuilders and blacksmiths ironmongery. Customers seeking spades were unlikely to go away unsatisfied, judging by this photograph.

  • The mansion house of Rhiewport, near Berriew in Montgomeryshire, photographed in 1864. Family members with a carriage and riding ponies are seen on the drive in front of the house. Rhiewport was owned by the Wythen-Jones family for many years.
