  • Michael Foot was elected Labour MP for Ebbw Vale in 1960.  He was leader of the Labour Party between 1980 and 1983.

  • Megan Lloyd George (1902-66) was the first Welsh woman to be elected as a Member of Parliament.  She became Liberal MP for Anglesey in 1929 and held the seat until 1951.  She later joined the Labour Party and represented Carmarthenshire from 1957 until her death.  She was the daughter of David Lloyd George.

  • Pamphlet entitled 'Llafur a Rhyddfrydiaeth yng Nghymru' [Labour and Liberalism in Wales' by J. Keir Hardie.  Keir Hardie was the first Labour MP to be elected in Wales when he won the second parliamentary seat in the constituency of Merthyr Tydfil in 1900.
