Painting of the ship 'Mountain Lass' which was built at Aberaeron 'Mountain Lass' was built in Aberaeron in 1849 by John and Henry Harries. She was a brigantine of 112 tons and Abraham Thomas (1824-1913) was given command of her when he was 29 years old, with a crew of 6, including himself.
