The Llanbedr circular bronze shield

The Llanbedr circular bronze shield This magnificent shield of sheet bronze was discovered within a peat bog at Gwern Einion, Llanbedr, Merionethshire, during the mid-19th century. It was probably a religious gift to the gods, rather than a casual loss or the site of a battle.
