  • This photograph shows the official ceremony to mark the handing over of Rapallo House Museum, Llandudno, to Llandudno Council, December 1928.  The house and its contents had been left to the town by Francis Edouard Chardon.  In 1980 the museum moved to its present location in Gloddaeth Street, Llandudno, where the Chardon collection and many other objects are on display.

  • This photograph shows the official ceremony to mark the handing over of Rapallo House Museum, Llandudno, to Llandudno Council, December 1928.   • Offerings of metalwork have been found in several lakes in Wales. One of the most important sites of this kind is Llyn Fawr upon which this illustration is modelled. The artefacts shown here have all been found in this lake (now a peat bog), although the wheeled vehicle is based on continental finds and rock engravings.

  • The following entry was made in the log book of Briery Hill Boys School, Ebbw Vale, by the Headmaster, Mr F. G. Cooper:  

'June 17th 1920
At 3.30 pm the important unveiling ceremony in the history of the school took place: (1) The Roll of Honour (2) The photograph of our VC - CSM J Williams (3) The photograph of the retiring Mayor, Councillor John Lewis, the old Headmaster of the School.'
