  • R. M. Jackson and his companions visit the bowling green at Denbigh.  They come across the congregation returning from the Sunday morning service at the parish church: 
'Their appearance was very devout, each carrying their prayer book in their hand - civility & courtesy are attached in a strong degree to the Welsh'.

Then, they continue with their tour and take a car towards Ruthin.
