  • David Broome is a world champion show jumper whose horses are kept at his stables near Chepstow. He won the European championships in 1961, 1967, and 1969, Olympic bronze medals in 1960 and 1968, and the world championship in 1970.   He turned professional in 1973 and continued to ride throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
