  • The Lido at Ebbw Vale was built in 1930 by unemployed men who volunteered for the task. It closed in 1961 to be replaced by an indoor swimming pool.

  • This handbill lists the attractions and events which were held on the Pier, Rhyl, on Monday 14 August 1899.  These included a 'great water Carnival' with swimming races and diving competitions.  Musical entertainment was also provided by George H. Penn's 'Celebrated Royal Pierrots'.
