  • This is an unusually large example of a court cupboard. It was made during the first decade of the 17th century and formed part of the furnishings of Jesus College, Oxford, before its removal to Wales during the 1930s

It is believed to have originated in the Harlech district of Merioneth and was probably made for one of the gentry families of that county, many of whom frequented Jesus College during the 16th and 17th centuries.
