  • Water had to be carried up 41 steps from the kitchen to the bathroom in order to fill the tin bath.

  • Adjoining his bedroom, this was Evan Morgan's private bathroom.  He was known to greet guests whilst soaking in the tub.

  • Godfrey Morgan had this bathroom, with its extraordinary shower, fitted out on his return from the Crimean War.  Having experienced much squalor in the living conditions there, he became somewhat obsessed with bodily hygiene.  This would have been state-of-the-art at the time.

This room became known as the Cow Bathroom as Evan Morgan displayed the family's collection of cow creamers on the shelves.
