  • This almost illegible postcard was sent by Evan Davies in France to Owen while he was in Withernsea camp.  Evan asks him, if he is going to Withernsea, to look for his [?photo] According to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Evan Davies died on 5 Feburary 1917 aged 23 years.  Evan was the son of David and Martha Davies, of Lowergate, Sarnau, Henllan, Cardiganshire and was a native of Brynamlwg, Penbryn, Cardiganshire.
