Man's short coat, 1720s This coat is made from English white silk taffeta with a gold lace pattern on the front and sleeves. The buttons are covered with gold thread and the sleeves are trimmed with bobbin lace. The coat was worn by a member of the Morgan family of Tredegar Park, Newport.
